Equal Cost Sharing
Direct costs (fuel, airfield charges, rental fees) must be divided equally by the number of people on board. The pilot's contribution must not be less than the equal share, though they may choose to pay more.
Maximum 6 People
Cost-sharing flights are limited to a maximum of 6 persons including the pilot. All passengers must be made aware this is a private flight, not commercial air transport.
Passenger Declaration Form
Every passenger must sign a declaration confirming they understand the flight is not operated to commercial safety standards. Forms must include specific risk acknowledgments and passenger contact details.
6-Month Retention
Declaration forms must be retained for exactly 6 months from the date of flight and produced to CAA Authorized Persons upon request.
